"Its Submission and not sumbission"

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes content to a wide number of people. It is used by computer programs that organize those headlines and notices for easy reading.

Posting RSS feeds to directories and such is a great way of getting some instant links to your internal pages. If you have a feed which updates every time you make a new blog post say, then every time you make a new post you'll get a link from everywhere you have submitted your rss feed too. This is my understanding and i found above given answers from reputed links.

I think RSS can also help to help the search indices "indexed" your link faster. At least that's my understanding

It's always good to submit your RSS feeds to a service like Google Feedburner. It incorporates Google analytics to report on exactly how successful your feed is doing and whether your content titles and snippets are compelling or attractive enough to get users to click through or place it on their sites. Being the RSS creator is generally more beneficial in terms of seo and traffic than being the subscriber.
