That's true, but finding the sites that allow dofollow links is a bit difficult.

Don't include only do follow links to promote your website. A good mix of do follow and no follow websites generate good result for the website. If you include only do follow than it can be taken as suspicious by the search engines and may be harmful sometimes.

Since I'm a writer I tend to earn many of my links naturally from the hundreds of articles and blog posts that I publish. Let's not forget a great piece of content with attractive clickable title will attract better quality deep links to your site pages.
