Is E-mail marketing still effective?

Hi all,

What are the best ways to do e-mail marketing. Once I sent out 500 emails with a website link in the footer section, but to my surprise I got only one visitor with 100% bounce rate.

Do you know how can we make to attract large number of visitors by sending newsletters etc.?

In my opinion Email marketing is not the effective tool of marketing because now a days plenty of users ignores promotional emails.So, In this respect the bounce rate of the email marketing is very high.

Hey..

I think its effective, because most of the people wants to see the promotions at their own ID.. In this way you can send information about latest promotion. You can capture target market easily..
