Commission Junction vs. Amazon Affiliates. Which one is better?

I am using Amazon Affiliates for a while now, but hardly make any money. I have tried writing articles, reviews, creating backlinks and what not. But still nothing, nada

I was wondering if I should jump into Commission Junction Affiliate program, try out some advertising ads on my sites and see if it works for me. I have also heard that their commission is higher than Amazon.

Please tell me if I should try my hands on Commission Junction. I am getting sick and tired of not making any money.
